Portier Technologies Expands Its Industry-Leading Hotel Guest Technology To Samujana

Helping hotels to increase guest satisfaction and on-site revenues, Portier continues its expansion across Thailand.

Portier Technologies, a US-based travel technology startup, expanded its hotel guest-facing platform to Samujana, an all-villa resort based in Koh Samui, Thailand, today.

Portier phones come with the benefit of having all of the resort’s offerings in the palms of guests’ hands, enabling travelers to more effectively book on-site services or order room service directly to their villa. What’s more, the solution helps resorts like Samujana bridge operational issues such as the need for guests to remain connected their villa managers and attendants.

“By partnering with Portier Technologies, we are able to provide a direct chat and call feature to the individual villa attendant and enable the traveler to extend the relationship beyond the limitations of our property. Anything that the guests want to draw attention to, they now can address via their personal Portier devices,” said John Dopéré, general manager at Samujana.

John also remarked that he expects the Portier solution to have a significant impact on the resort’s revenues, commenting: “Imagine being able to send fully customized offerings to your guests when it’s most suitable. Portier will allow us to do that and we will be able to drive more traffic to our in villa SPA services and food offerings in particular.”

Portier phones include hotspot connectivity, allowing guests to bypass data roaming fees or the expense and inconvenience of installing a local SIM card. Portier devices directly communicate with hotel systems -- allowing guests to communicate directly with hotel staff, and to discover and book services on property or while exploring the island of Koh Samui.

“The launch at Samujana is yet another indicator of our platform’s flexibility,” remarked Olivier Dombey, Portier Technologies’ COO, who was on-site for the launch. “While Portier addresses the inconvenience and challenge that comes with exploring complex destinations at our city hotels such as the W Paris-Opéra or 137 Pillars in Bangkok, our offering for resorts such as this one is a lot more focused on adding convenience to understanding the vast range of offerings a resort boasts. In that sense, being directly connected to your villa attendant and manager at all times, allows guests to enjoy their stay with the highest degree of convenience.”

The Samujana follows other Thailand-based resorts’ lead in selecting Portier Technologies as the ideal partner for adding a must-have amenity to their property.
